Symptoms

In Depot Repair when attempting to create an RMA line to receive an item which does not have a serial number instance in the Oracle Installed Base, a message appears asking user if they will add the instance into the Install Base.  User responded with "Add to IB'.  Instance is then created and instance number is populated in RMA installation detail line.

After receiving the RMA with serial number, RMA transaction is stuck with the following error:

'Serial Number cannot be updated because the Item Instance &instance_id is currently in a location (Location Type Code : INVENTORY) that is classified as Inventory'

When going back to Depot Repair to update the logistic lines to 'Received', the following 2 errors occurs:

Caution
THERE IS NO INSTANCE FOUND FOR THE SERIAL NUMBER (&serial_number)

Total number of records passed by the RMA Update program is 0.
