Goal
Using Standard Costing, does a solution exist to the WIP costing issue where the cost of a job is inflated because a non standard job in Depot Repair uses a customer returned item?
Although the item is received into inventory, the cost should not be considered because the customer still owns it.
How can a process be established where items in a specific inventory (not a new operating unit) can be costed at zero?
