Sales Order Errors Using Pattern Search: Could Not Find a Price List in Ordered UOM or Primary UOM

Basically the error occurs when you enter the quantity in the order, the
message states that the price list cannot be found, although once you enter (click ok)
the message, the price is then displayed. Sometimes the error appears on line 1 but
always in line 2 using this data scenario.
Could not find a price list in Ordered UOM or Primary UOM
<Patch 9872938> has been applied.
the debug file shows:
Price Flag :=Y
*STATUS_TEXT :=Could not find a price list in Ordered UOM or Primary UOM
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Order Management Super User (or equivalent)
2. Navigate to: Orders, Returns > Sales Orders
3. Enter a sales order line and save.
4. Enter a the item and quantity on the second order line,
The aforementioned error is shown.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, pattern search had to be disabled in production,
which results in poor performance.
