PAC WIP Completion Transaction Shows Wrong WIP Variance Value (Doc ID 1237224.1)

Symptoms


On :  12.1.1 version,


 PAC completion transaction shows wrong wip variance value. All txns show the same WIP variance.

after applying the patch following was the error.

The description for the entity 'dna' in the patch driver
does not match with the current description.

The current description is      :'Development'
The description in the patch is :'Product Workbench'


The current description will not be changed.

This patch requires the following code level or higher: 'R12.AD.B.2'.
The current on-site code level for the entity 'ad' is : 'R12.AD.B.1'.



EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect .to have the correct WIP variance value


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login as cost management responsibility
2. (N) cost -> Periodic Costing -> View Transactions -> Material and Receiving Transactions
    find the
   Organization Code: <org code>
    Resource Type: Job or Schedule
   Source: <job number>
    Transaction Type:  WIP Completion 


3. (M) View Material accounting
   For every transaction record , there are all WIP variance <variance> cost element: Material shown ( no matter how many quantities completed )

4. Run Periodic WIP Value Report and find material cost is <material cost>
 
5) Suggested the  <span id="form1:panelPage1">Patch 8506830(Oracle Supply Chain Management Release Update Pack 2 for 12.1 ) and
7303033 (Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.2 Release Update Pack (RUP2)) is released to include the fix which will solve the issue.
This issue is fixed in the patch 836144</span>
