How to Prevent Participants of Updating Automatically Allocated Objectives ? (Doc ID 1247294.1)

Goal

While updating an appraisal as a Participant Appraiser, clicking on the update pencil icon of the first Objective takes the user to the wrong page, namely the Update Objectives page rather than the Update Objective Ratings and Comments page.

During Objective Setting and again during the Mid Year, the Appraisee and the Main Appraiser have the ability to modify the objective(s) that are automatically allocated when the plan is published. They also have the ability to add additional objectives, and modify those as well.

The customer expects that Participants should not have the ability to modify any of the objectives for the person they are appraising, but they are finding that they do. At-least they do for the objectives that are automatically allocated with the plan.

The customer thinks they should only be able to give their rating and comments, NOT modify the objective. The other objectives (added by the appraisee and the main appraiser) work the way they are expected, taking the Participant to an Objective Rating screen, where they can only give their rating and comments.

How do you prevent the Participant Appraiser's ability not to add objectives and update automatically allocated objectives?
