Error ‘WMSINB-23184:Lot/Serial validation failed’ When Receiving Lot Controlled Items

Receiving mode is 'Batch' or 'Immediate'
Intermittently when delivering a lot controlled item the Transaction Status Summary form shows that the
receiving process errored out with:
WMSINB-23184:Lot/Serial validation failed. Please check log for details
- In the table po_interface_errors the error 'INV_LOT_SERIAL_VALIDATION_FAIL' is inserted.
- The logfile of the Receiving process shows the following generic errors:
RVTBM-008: Subroutine rvtbm_immediate_mngr() returned error
RVTBM-120: Subroutine rvtptcontrol() returned error
- It is observed that the error only occurs when strange lot numbers and quantities are defaulted in
on the Lot Entry form.
The lot number and quantity seem to be at random, because they do not have any relation with
the item to be received.
In normal circumstances no details should default in.
- The issue cannot be reproduced when using the Miscellaneous Transactions form.
The issue only occurs intermittently when entering Lot details through the Lot Entry form that is opened
through the Receiving form.
