1-1 Fulfillment, oracle.apps.jtf.fm.engine.request.WorkNotCompletedException 'no records returned from mass query' (Doc ID 1273039.1)

Symptoms

When trying to send mass emails via Oracle Marketing the 1-1 Fulfillment Server requests remain 'In Progress'. We would expect the requests to go to a status of 'Successful'.

The Following error is noted in the Errors.log file:

oracle.apps.jtf.fm.engine.request.WorkNotCompletedException: request '11640'; no records returned from mass query > SELECT e.event_offer_name event_name,
TO_CHAR(e.event_start_date,'DD-MON-YYYY') start_date,
TO_CHAR(e.event_end_date,'DD-MON-YYYY') end_date,

 

Note:

  • When sending a test email for a cover letter is sent this goes through successfully.
  • When running the above sql from a sqlplus session on the 1-1 Fulfillment Server a record is returned.




Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1 Generate a Mass 1-1 Fulfillment Request through Oracle Marketing Online.

2 Oracle Marketing Super User-> Administration -> Fulfillment -> History
    The request summary for the email has been triggered but stays in status  'In Progress'.
