Incorrect Ship Unit Count And Total Volume - Inner Pack Count is not Evaluated (Doc ID 1278281.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Operational Planning - Version 6.1.1 to 6.1.4 [Release 6.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to manually update the ship unit content, it is not calculated correctly when the Inner Pack Count is defined and Auto Calc is defined.

-- Expected Behaviour

When Auto-Calc is defined along with an Inner Pack Count that it this information would be used to calculate the number of Packaging Units on the Order Line.

-- Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps.

Packaging Unit=28X28X14_BOX
Transport Handling Unit=42X42_PT
Inner Pack Count=30
Number of Layers on Ship Unit=1
Quantity per Layer=12

1. Navigate to Business Process Automation -> Integration -> Integration Manager -> Upload an XML/CSV Transmission
2. Upload XML with updated
3. Navigate to Order Management -> Order Release -> Order Release
4. Search for Order Release that was created and then edit
5. Go to Ship Unit tab and notice the Ship Unit Count is 60, and it is expected a value of 2.

An Order Release is created via integration with a PackagedItemCount of 720. The expected results is to create 2 Ship Units: 720 / 30 = 24 Packaging Units / 12 per THU = 2 Ship Units. Instead this is calculating as 60 which ignores the Inner Packing Count already defined.
