Symptoms
When entering system options for a new operating unit (i.e. Argentina - or any other Latin America localization), following error occurs:
APP-JL-62181: Please enter a value for the required segment in the descriptive flexfield.
It appears code is still running validation logic on the descriptive flexfield (DFF) even when it is disabled. Error is raised requiring information on the flexfield, but then no input can be entered as it is disabled. When the DFF is disabled, expect no validation to be done on it.
