Business Scenario:
Your Treasury Department currently imports a number of current/intraday files into Oracle. However, these files are programmed as cumulative files (this means the bank is supplying data from first thing in the morning until the file is created) and Treasury Department would like to change these files to incremental files (Meaning the first Intraday file of the day will have data from first thing in the morning, however the second file of the day will pick up with transactions that were not reported on a BAI as of yet) to decrease the size. Here is the problem, the first incremental file comes into Oracle without any issue, but when the second incremental file comes into Oracle, Oracle deletes/removes all history (transactions) of the previous file or files for that account. With that said is there any setting in Oracle that will prevent this from happening.
