Purpose

The Self Service pages of E-Business Suite run in a browser and do not require additional components being. However for running Forms session the desktop needs to have the Java plug-in (JRE) installed. The additional layer for running Forms applet could cause issues for which server side logging does not provide useful information. This document explains the mechanisms used to run the Forms applet and which options are available for troubleshooting.

By understanding the expected behavior and combine this with proper debug information it should be possible to determine the root-cause for your issue and choose right direction for implementing solution.
