Applies to:
Oracle Web Applications Desktop Integrator - Version 12.1.2 to 12.1.2 [Release 12.1]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
After upgrading to 12.1.2, WEB ADI budget download locks up Excel and spikes CPU's.
Use the WEB ADI product to download budget information. The data downloads into Excel 2003 or 2007.
When downloading budget data using the WEB ADI interface Excel becomes very busy and cannot be shutdown normally. Even after the download is complete there is very high/spikes CPU activity on the users PC and all the cells on the spread sheet appear to be active. When clicking on a cell the data in the cell flashes in the entry portion of the spreadsheet as if it is constantly updated
Other Symptoms:
Users can not access old, previously saved templates, they get kicked out of excel.
Also, the first time a user creates the spreadsheet it works ok.
But if the user leaves excel open and tries to create another spreadsheet, then excel hangs and they have to use the Ctrl+Alt+Del to kill the excel session.
