A Standing Appointment Defined for a Future Date is Not Selected When Running Action: Schedule Appointment (Doc ID 1304695.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Operational Planning - Version 6.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An "Appointment Preference" is created for a location and assigned for a specific Service Provider to define Standing Appointments. A shipment is then planned using this Service Provider. This shipment has a Start Date (if scheduling the pickup) or an End Date (if scheduling the delivery), that is not one of the days defined in the Standing Appointment.

When the user runs the "Schedule Appointment" action to assign the appointment for this shipment, the user expects that the appointment is schedule for a future date, using one of the defined Standing Appointments. Instead, OTM is assigning an appointment for a non-preffered slot for the date in which the shipment was planned.
