Customers Form, Search Issue: Search Does Not Return Expected Results

In the Customer form, when you enter filtering criteria to search for a customer, the results returned are not what you expected.

For example: You know the record exists, but it is not returned. Or, you know record should not be returned based on the filtering conditions and yet it is.

This note is a consolidation of known workarounds, fixes and patches pertaining to unexpected search results.
