"ORA-01722: invalid number" Exception When Tendering a Shipment

Symptoms
When tendering shipments that has a shipment special service without any remarks, receiving the following error:
java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01722: invalid number
This occurs if the corresponding outbound profile excludes the element "SpecialServiceGid" under "Shipment\ShipmentHeader\ShipmentSpecialService"
