Receive Error "A reservation record with the same item, organization, demand source, and supply source already exists" when Changing the Scheduled Ship Date on a Sales Order Line (Doc ID 1315736.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to change the scheduled ship date on a sales order line, the following error occurs. The only workaround seems to be to backorder the lines, re-release, re-pick and finally have rescan the LPN info for the order.

A reservation record with the same item, organization, demand source, and supply source already exists. Please use transfer reservation if you still want to make the changes.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a sales order
2. Release the sales order for picking
3. Attempt to change the schedule date on a sales order line item.
   Note that the status of the sales order line item is "Picked"
4. Receive the error message
