Symptoms
When attempting to compile the descriptive flexfield Contract Additional Information the following error occurs:
The descriptive flexfield “Contract Additional Information” of application “Lease and Finance Management” uses features which are only supported in Oracle Forms. This flexfield may not function in other environments such as OA Framework or PL/SQL API’s
This flexfield is used in 'Create Investor Agreement window'. In this window the following error shows: "The flexfield routine defaultContextSegment cannot read the default reference field specified for this descriptive flexfield. The developer specified a context field (via the Register Descriptive Flexfields form) that does not exist in this block of this form. Action: Contact your system administrator, and choose another default reference field for this descriptive flexfield".
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.
System Administrator resp.
NAV Application/Flexifield/Descriptive/Segments
Query
Descriptive Flexfield Segment
Application: Lease and Finance Management
Title: Contract Additional Information.
2.
Select unfreeze check box and add value to context field.
Save it.
Again try to Freeze click on compile.
Error shows.

Error shows for the DFF.
