Symptoms
When planning a multi-segment shipment, the Rate Cost configured for Empty Miles is not always evaluated as all miles are being considered as Loaded Miles. It is expected that the miles between the shipment segments be applied as empty miles.
Empty miles are determined on segments where the weight is zero. In some situations, due to rounding, the weight is evaluated to a very small number, yet still non-zero. These are then considered as loaded miles.
