Why Does the List of Values ( LOV ) For Item Category Product Attribute Value (Modifier Line) Appear Differently In R12? (Doc ID 1333472.1)

Last updated on JULY 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Pricing - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Why is the LOV for Product Attribute Value for modifiers and price lists when using Product Attribute of 'Item Category' different in R12 to 11i?
Previously, the segments and names were input on a form, in R12, it is just a standard LOV.

After upgrading to 12.1.3, when using the Item Category attribute for
product context in Modifiers, a LOV is displayed instead of segment
selector.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to Oracle Pricing Manager > Modifiers > Create Modifiers
2. Enter Modifier Header
3. Enter Modifier Summary
4. Select Product Attribute = Item Category
5. Click Product Attribute Value
6. Categories appears in list.
