Allocation of Shipment Fails when Using Plan From and Plan to Fields (Doc ID 1339592.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to allocate the Order Release after the Plan From and Plan to fields on the Order Release is updated with the Destination Location and Source Location values respectively, the Allocation to fail. The following error occurs in the log.

Allocation cannot be performed: total amount for WeightCarriedDistance is zero which would result in a division by zero error.

It is important to note that when the source location and destination location fields are replaced with the plan to and plan from fields, allocation works fine

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to the OTM application and navigate to Order Management>>Order Release
2. Update Plan From and Plan to fields on the Order Release with the Destination Location and Source Location values respectively,
3. Navigate to Order Release Action>>Financials>>Settlement>>Allocate Cost

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
This issue is preventing the Order Release Allocating of Costs and preventing UAT completion as Cost Allocation is an important business action for the transportation costs of shipments are apportioned to their component orders and this cannot be done due to this issue
