Why is API QP_PREQ_PUB.PRICE_REQUEST Ignoring Price List Level Qualifiers? (Doc ID 1347602.1)

Last updated on JULY 27, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Pricing - Version 11.5.10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Note: In the images bellow and/or the attached document, user details / company name / address / email / telephone number represents fictitious sample (based upon made up data used in the Oracle Demo Vision instance).
Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

Explain why using code, similar to sample code PRICE_REQUEST_API_EXAMPLE.sql
as provided through <Document 759804.1> or the seeded example scripts as noted in
<Document 412545.1>, does not evaluate qualifiers on price lists.

Expects that a price list should not be eligible when the price list is qualified by customer name
and a different customer name is provided when calling the API. Expected to find the error message indicating that the item is not on the price list since the record does not qualify for the price list.
