Location Capacity Limit Not Checked Neither Visualized With Activity 'All'. (Doc ID 1350707.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Operational Planning - Version 6.2.0 to 6.2.3 [Release 6.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

OTM planning logic is not taking into account the capacity limits defined for a location when the activity of these capacity limits is defined as “all”.

Although a maximum shipments has been defined per time bucket (in 1hour), OTM is planning all the orders selected to be planned in shipments for the time bucket defined.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create multiple orders
2. CHECK LOCATION CAPACITY parameter set to TRUE.
3. Create Location Capacity that is associated to Calendar defined with activity “All” at shipment level. Location capacity activity “All” defined with a maximum shipments per time bucket
4. Create a Location Capacity Group that is associated to the creates Location Capacity > Assign it to the source location on the Role tab.
5. Bulk plan the orders and review the location capacity graph for the source location.

When checking graphics for the location capacity usage for the planned times, the limits are shown (e.g. 1 per time bucket with activity “all”) but not the capacity usage of the planned shipments that shows multiple  shipments.
