Last updated on FEBRUARY 15, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle HRMS (UK) - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On one employee :

Find that the Average Weekly earnings for Statutory Sick Pay (SSP purposes) are incorrect

Example :

Employee was set up for statutory sickness with an absence start date of 3rd March 2011 and has been receiving SSP.

The average earnings amount showing on the sickness pay screen is £99.50.
However, on calculating the average gross pay over the 8 weeks prior to 3rd March (weeks 41/48), the average value equals £91.36, which is below the 2010/2011 lower
earnings limit of £97.00, and means that this employee's earnings are insufficient to qualify for SSP payments
