Slovak Characters Appear as Question Marks in XML Publisher PDF Output (Doc ID 1364992.1)

Symptoms

You are using XML Publisher in Oracle Applications.
Your report contains Slovak characters. When attempting to run XML Publisher Reports from Oracle Applications, the Slovak characters appear as question marks in the PDF output file.
You already  had copied the Albany font files
from directory :
    $FND_TOP/resource
to the directory :
    $AF_JRE_TOP/lib/fonts and to the directory: $OA_JRE_TOP/lib/fonts

You implemented the XDO debug mode thanks to:
Note 364547.1 : Troubleshooting Oracle XML Publisher For The Oracle E- Business Suite

and the XDO.log file generated is showing OPP is looking for the fonts at the right place but doesn't find them, and is then defaulting to the Helvetica default fonts when generating the output file.
