Symptoms
Actual Behaviour
Users are unable to download and save any spreadsheet from ebs 12.1.3 (e.g. using desktop integration role). The download program just hangs, mostly at 0% but sometimes at higher %.
This works on some instances and downloads in 1-2 seconds, however on selected instances (cloned) it just will not work.
Note:- If the hung session is left alone it will sometimes complete over 1 hour later
Expected Behaviour
WebADI download should work consistently.
Steps to Reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1:- Signon as the SYSADMIN user
2:- From menu choose desktop integration
3:- Select create document
4:- Choose HR assignment detail (for example) and select next
5:- Excel 2007 with reporting ticked select next
6:- Mapping = PER_ASSIGNMENTS_V Mapping, session date = 2011/10/12 - select continue
7:- Create document
8:- Save to file
9:- Session hangs
Business Impact
Due to this issue, the WebADI download functionality is consistent and it is not possible to go live with this this problem in place.
