Goal
Standard iStore/Quoting UI flow calls tax engine each time a pricing request was made, such as when new item was added or removed.
Some customers may have a business need to show taxes in the end, only after converting the cart/quote to an Order.
During order creation flow, OM calculate taxes taking shipping warehouse, bill-to, ship-to, customer, item information into consideration.
Once the order was created, iStore order confirmation page shows complete order details including tax amount.
Since Order confirmation shows tax amount, some customers chose not to calculate and display tax amounts on the shopping cart page.
One of the goals of chosing this option was to achieve better performance during pricing calls especially when dealing with large configuration models.
