Goal
What is the default value of the new Receiving Organization Parameter: Validate Lots On RMA Receipt?
Background
At least one customer was confused and felt that the parameter default value did NOT work as intended after upgrading from R11.5.9 to R12. For this customer, while doing an RMA receipt, the user would choose the Lot/Serial button and try to enter the Lot number, but the system would show NO values in Lot field LOV.
Recent Changes
Upgraded from 11.5.9 to R12.1.3.
Related Errors
Without the receiving parameter set, Mobile Receiving (MSCA) may raise an "Unexpected Error" entering the lot number:
Business Impact
For at least one customer, they found that this setting was creating a problem for users during receiving. The Lot LOV did not show any existing Lots and no validation would occur when the user entered a lot number without the LOV. The customer felt this was wrong behavior and resulted in wrong lot numbers entered at time of receiving.
