Goal

PURPOSE

In Release 12, tax rates can be defined in EB Tax and can be used in the Oracle Internet Expense to capture tax information on expense reports. Oracle Internet Expenses works seamlessly with other Oracle E-Business Suite products to drive better decision-making, sustainable financial discipline, regulatory compliance, and optimized business processes at the lowest cost. Employees can enter and submit expense reports using a standard Web browser or a Web-enabled mobile device. Oracle Workflow automatically routes expense reports for approval and enforces reimbursement policies. Oracle Internet Expenses integrates with Oracle Payables to provide quick processing of expense reports for payment and also with the EB Tax capture tax information on expense reports.

SCOPE & APPLICATION

This document will describe how EB Tax can be integrated with Oracle Internet Expenses for calculating Tax on the Expense Reports after exporting to Payables. The case study will show the following:
-- Create Regime to Rate setup in EB Tax with Tax Rate enabled for Internet Expenses
-- Create Expense Report
-- Approve and Audit the Expense Report
-- Export the Expense Report to Payables
-- Calculate the Tax for the Expense Report Invoice in Payables

PREREQUISITE:
Prerequisites to calculate the Tax for Expense Reports are as follows:
1. Basic setup in Oracle Internet Expenses for entering Expense Reports
2. Setting up EB Tax and Tax Rates
3. Profile Option - OIE: Enable Tax - The OIE: Enable Tax profile option enables the availability of tax-related elements on expense reports. Set this profile option to Yes to display the Tax Code field on expense reports. Set this profile option to No to conceal the display.

4. If user needs to enable the Tax Rate for applicable to OIE in R12 Please add them in Lookup Type ZX_WEB_EXP_TAX_CLASSIFICATIONS.
Go to Application Developer Responsibility.Navigate to Applications->Lookups.Open Application Object Library.
Search the Lookup Type ZX_WEB_EXP_TAX_CLASSIFICATIONS.Add the Tax Rate Code as the value of Code , Meaning and Description
