Symptoms


Problem Statement:

Payroll process assignments erroring with:

HR_51118_HRPROC_ERR_OCC_ON_ASG
ASGNO 4853
APP-PAY-51118: Error was encountered when processing assignment 4853
HR_51119_HRPROC_ERR_OCC_ON_ET
ETNAME Time Entry Wages
APP-PAY-51119: Error was encountered when processing Element Type Time Entry Wages
HR_6882_HRPROC_ASSERT
LOCATION pycload:2
APP-PAY-06882: Assertion failure detected at location pycload:2.

Cause: an internal error has occurred at location pycload:2.

Action: please contact your Oracle customer representative.




Step to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Run Payroll
  2. Navigate:  View > Payroll Process Results >
    • Enter appropriate parameters to locate Payroll executed
  3. Click on "FIND".
  4. Highlight the row with type = Run
    • Select:  'Assignment Process'.
  5. The last column lists the employees who erred.
