Symptoms

When attempting to attempting to Pick Release a Sales Order for an item having a Fixed conversion between the primary and the secondary units of measure, the following error occurs even though sufficient quantity is available

Pick Release process could not allocate <quantity> of item <item no> for order <sales order no.> as there was insufficient quantity available Or Inventory allocations have failed, and the line has been back ordered.


STEPS
1. Using the OM Super User Responsibility, navigate to Shipping> Release Sales Orders> Release Sales Orders
2. Using the order / release rule, run the Pick Release process.
3. The 'Pick Selection List Generation' logfile shows the mentioned error.
