Goal
The purpose of this document is to show the basic steps to setup Supplier Lifecycle Management user defined attribute (UDA), attribute group and display page which can then be used in the Supplier sourcing requirements. This will allow administrators to add an unlimited range of attributes to the supplier definition and to group these in logical profile sections.
The setup will include:
Create an Attribute Group and add an Attribute to this group. As needed, use a Value Set in the Attributes.
Associate the Attribute Group with Common (and not any particular classification type) so it is common to all suppliers.
Create new Page and add in the Attribute Group(s).
Query a Supplier showing the new Page displayed, enter in the attribute response.
Be sure to review the seeded attribute, attribute groups, and attribute pages and the mapping to sourcing requirements first, in order to get a full understanding of the complexity of this process, and to determine if settings need to be added to meet business requirements. This example is a simple single setup flow and not meant to be a full setup document. Please consult the Oracle Supplier Management Implementation and Administration Guide for more information.
