R12: Error When Updating the Structure in a Burden Organization Hierarchy, "APP-PA-19052 You cannot delete/update link in hierarchy used by Oracle Projects" (Doc ID 1431823.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to change the position of an existing organization in the organization hierarchy in the PERWSDOH Define Organization Hierarchy form, the following error occurs:

Error APP-PA-19052: You cannot delete/update link in hierarchy used by Oracle Projects.
Cause: You cannot delete or update any hierarchy links of the organization hierarchy under the start organization specified for use by Oracle Projects.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. US HRMS (Human Resources Management System) Manager >> Work Structures >> Organization >> Hierarchy.
2. Query up the organization hierarchy which is used as a burden hierarchy in Projects and select an org under the "Organization" field.
3. Then attempt to enter an existing Org that currently resides under a different Org under Subordinates: Name field. Set Position Control Enabled to "No"
4. Save.
