Date Emphasis Causes Issues With The Release Logic
(Doc ID 1446689.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
An order base (line) is created with a date emphasis of SHIP and only the early pickup and late delivery is populated . When releasing the order base, the order release has the early delivery and late pickup date populated. (The late pickup is the same date as the late delivery.)
However, when releasing an order base with a ship unit, the early delivery date is populated but not the late pickup.
This is restricting the pickup window when planning orders.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create OB with line, having only early pickup and late delivery date. Set date emphasis to SHIP.
- Release order.
See that OR has the early pickup from the OB, late pickup = late delivery, early delivery = early pickup, late delivery is from the OB.
This indicates that the date emphasis is not taken into consideration during releasing.
- Plan the OR and observe that you can only plan the order in the window of early pickup - late pickup (which is effectively the early pickup from the OB to the late delivery from the OB).
