Why Is Standard Purchase Order Price Changing When Updating Quantity? or Need By Date? Primary Fields.
(Doc ID 1447848.1)
Last updated on JULY 22, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Purchasing - Version 12.1.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
A Global Blanket Agreement exists, and standard purchase orders were created - referencing this Global Agreement. The Allow Price Override is not checked on the Global Agreement - so the Price field is not able to be updated by the user.
However, upon changing the quantity, need by date, or other key fields used to source the blanket reference - the price is being updated to reflect the most current price on the Global Agreement - why is this happening?
The desire is to keep the original price on the standard purchase order - because at the time the standard purchase order was created - the price was much lower.
The same is happening in the Buyer Work Center.
