ADPATCH Appears To Hang When Processing xdf files. Connection Error Reported In Worker Logs (Doc ID 1461916.1)

When attempting to apply CPU PATCH FOR OCT 2011 (12794416)  it hangs when processing file fnd_mime_types.xdf
The following error occurs in the worker log:
