Symptoms

On an E-Business Suite Installation, Release 12.1.1, the following error occurs when running the AR Diagnostic --> Collections --> oracle.apps.ar.diag.ARBalForwBilling:

EXCEPTION - GC overhead limit exceeded was caught while executing this test.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
ACTION - Please log an iTAR (Service Request) for product "Support Diagnostics Project" (ID=1332) to notify support about this issue

EXCEPTION - GC overhead limit exceeded was caught while executing this test.

at oracle.jdbc.driver.CharCommonAccessor.getString(CharCommonAccesso.java:405)
