Symptoms
Adjusting YTD depreciation and/or Reserve after running depreciation without closing the period errors with:
Error
APP-OFA-48396: Program exited with errors: Life-To-Date Depreciation cannot be greater than the Recoverable Cost.
Error: function fa_adjustment_calc_pvt.calc_fin_info returned failure
Error: function fa_adjustment_pvt.do_adjustment returned failure
Error: function fa_adjustment_pub.do_all_books returned failure
Error: function fa_adjustment_pub.do_adjustment returned failure
OR
APP-OFA-48392: Life-to-Date Depreciation cannot be greater than the Recoverable Cost.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
FA : Assets > Asset Workbench : Books Button
Query the book for which the asset has been added in the current period and depreciation has been run without closing the period.
Update the YTD/Reserve for this asset.
