"java.lang.NullPointerException" Exception Moving an Order Movement from a Split Order Release

Symptoms
One order was created into a single Order Movement. When that Order Movement was planned, due to load config - for example, this order actually was created onto two shipments and therefore a second Order Movement. When unassigning that new order movement and are trying to assign that to the the shipment of another Order Release (one that remains unsplit and for another order) the following exception is encountered:
