Missing Order Movement (OM) When Order Movement Is Split Across Multiple Shipments And One Is A Multistop Shipment. (Doc ID 1470723.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.2 to 6.2.6 [Release 6.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When bulk planning two Order Movements that can go on a multistop shipment, but one of the Order Movements must also be split across multiple shipments due to size, that OM is not linked to the multistop shipment.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Select two orders and create OMs.
2. Two OMs will be created (first and second).
3. Bulk plan these OMs.
4. Four shipments will be created due to weight/volume.
5. Of the four shipments, one will be a multistop shipment
If you review the shipment, you will find the two ORs are link to it and so are the ship units.
If you query for the OMs associated to that shipment (populating the shipment ID in the search) – you will only get OM second returned. This is the OM that was not split across multiple shipments.
