Symptoms

Cross Validation rule is not working if the segment value has a segment separator included, for example '-'. While entering the values, the forms retrieve chart of accounts related errors.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1. Setup key flexfield: Set Segment Separator to Dash (-)

2. Create Value Set Values such as these: 1-AB-2, 1-\678, 1-34\5, 123\

Create any other values with combinations of the backslash and dash (segment separator)

3. Create Cross Validation Rule lines

4. Recompile key flexfield

5. Test with this Setup data - for example: create a new Journal in General Ledger (GL): General Ledger responsibility > Journals > Enter
