Goal

There are steps to execute before the upgrade to release 12 or 12.1 or 12.2 from 11.5.10 for iProcurement Catalog.

The Catalog pre-upgrade steps will create the new catalog data model and will migrate the data to the Release 12 architecture while validating the data and providing exception report.

Executing the Catalog pre-upgrade steps will avoid the long running time while applying the upgrade patches. Also, it allows to fix the data before the upgrade.

It is required by Oracle Development to execute the pre-upgrade steps in 11.5.10 prior to applying the upgrade patches.  These are mandatory steps, not optional.
