User Favorites (F) button throwing "java.lang.NullPointerException" Error (Doc ID 1492648.1)

Symptoms

When working with the User Favorite, and when trying to create a user favorite for Location, a Null Pointer error is received. This occurs when using the 'f' to search for the location and clicking 'finished'. If the user knows the ID, you can type it in and save the favorite.

Steps to Repliate:
1. Configuration and Administration
2.User Preferences
3. User Favorites
4. Click the "New Favorite" button
5.  Select Any Table Name
6.  Use the "finder" (f button) on the ID field
7.  Click Search
8.  Select a value by marking the radio button next to that choice
9.  Click Finish

You will receive an NPE s follows:
