Retropay Causes 'Negative Net Salary' Payroll Error When Quick Pay Paid After Regular Payroll in Prior Period (Doc ID 1495237.1)

Symptoms

Quick Pay or Payroll run errors for some assignments if the employee was paid a Quick Pay payment in a prior pay period after the regular payroll was run. Retropay creates a positive and a negative element entry in the current period for the prior period's supplemental payment and is causing the employees' run to complete in error.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run regular payroll for period 1
2. Pay an assignment a supplemental payment via Quick Pay for period 1, paid on current check date.
3. Run Retropay for period 2 and see a negative and positive retro entry for the supplemental payment from period 1
4. Run Quick Pay or Payroll process and get error
