Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.0 to 6.2.8 [Release 6.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Rate Factor entered as (e.g.) 10.4 is stored in the DB as 10.40000000000000035527136788005009293556
Since the factor is now exceeding 10.4, subsequent calculations are wrong.

To reproduce:

Enter the value of 10.4 manually via the UI into the Source Rate Factor.
Run the query select * from rate_factor through the backdoor, you will see the incorrectly stored value.
