Known Shipper Flag Not Correctly Used During Planning. (Doc ID 1521496.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.0 to 6.2.8 [Release 6.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The field ‘Known Shipper’ on the order release’s attribute tab works in the opposite way that is described in the help.

"Select the Known Shipper check box if you are using air schedules. If the shipper is not known, the only flights the order release can go on are those where Air Cargo is selected on the flight record."

If the "Known Shipper" check-box is off, OTM should only select Cargo flights, which is working correctly.
However, if the "Known Shipper" check-box is on, it should be possible to select Passenger and Cargo flights. Currently it only selects Passenger flights.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
With the flag “known shipper “ checked on the order, the order is planned using the cheapest rate and this can be cargo or passenger.
