Users Are Able to Submit ERs Without Some Imaged Receipts Attached Despite the Receipts Rule Setting
Under the Imaged Receipt Rules section, the option "Prevent submission if imaged receipts are not attached" was selected.
Testing of the Receipts Rule has revealed that in a situation when some lines have missing attachments users would get this warning message:
"Not all receipt lines that require imaged receipts have an imaged receipt attached. Submitting the expense report with partial receipts attached will also result in imaged receipts submission to Payables. Do you wish to continue with expense report submission?"
After choosing Yes they are able to submit the report. Based on the receipts rule setup, our expectation was they would get an error message without an option to submit a report.
Steps to reproduce :
- Start a new expense report
- Enter details of line #1, in the Details attach the scanned copy of a receipt
- Enter more lines of the types that require receipts, but this time without attachments
- Proceed too the Review page, try to submit. The system would give a warning message but you nevertheless would be able to submit
