Shipments are Created with Shared S_EQUIPMENT When Itinerary Leg is Marked as No Equipment (Doc ID 1531950.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.0 to 6.3.0 [Release 6.2 to 6.3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An itinerary is created where the legs are marked as "No Equipment". When planning using Order Movements created from this Itinerary, it is found that OTM is re-using the same S_EQUIPMENT for downline Order Movement Planning than it did for the upline legs.

As an example, if you plan the first legs with two Order Movements, you will get a shipment with S_Equipment A. If you plan the only ONE of the Order Movements for the second leg, the second shipment is created with the same S_Equipment (A). This effectively makes the first Order Release assigned to the second shipment as the S_Equipment is used as the link between the objects.
