Not Getting The Shipment Event Date Timestamp with HH:MM:SS Into FTI, Getting The Shipment Event Date Only with DD/MM/YYYY (Doc ID 1532014.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While processing Data in the FTI tables, find that the Date Stamp in the database for certain fields show only the date in DD/MM/YYYY and not the HH:MM:SS values of the date. This seems to affect some of the custom reports in getting meaningful values.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
All the date columns should have HH:MM:SS values of the date - or at least have some way of customizing this when the value gets copied from OLTP database to the Historical data base in the FTI

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
In OTM FTI reports, the TimeStamp is missing in the Shipment Event Date column. This can be verified from the HD Owner schema also and its missing in the DB too. There is Date with Timestamp in the OTM Glogowner DB and in the OTM UI.
This happens even when using the seeded ODI mappings/interfaces which will load the OTM transactional data from GLogOwner schema to the HDOwner schema on which the FTI reports are being generated.

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot get meaningful reports - even though the reports are custom reports.
