Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In OTM 6.2

In Fleet Management, when creating Drivers and Power Units there is not a drop down option to select the Domain.
When in a child Domain it is only possible to create a Driver or Power unit in that Child domain, the functionality does not have the ability to switch
between the Domains like stated above with Locations an Equipment, and this limit with the Accessibility of Domains within Fleet Management Drivers and Power Unit Creation.

REPLICATION STEPS:

-----------------------

1 - Log onto OTM as the Domain Admin.

2 - Navigate to: Shipment Management > Location Manager > Click New Button.

3 - When the Form Comes back you will see that there is a drop down for Domain that contains the Child Domain and the Parent Domain Called

4 -  Still Logged in as nnnn.ADMIN Navigate to: Fleet Management > Driver Management > Driver Manager > Click New Button

5 - When the Form Returns you see that the Domain is hard-coded within the form as nnnn, it's just writing, no Drop-down.

There is no ability to Switch between the Parent and Child Domains to create
Drivers. The Same Function is also experienced if you navigate to  Fleet Management > Power Unit Management > Power Unit or Power Unit Type Manager
and click the New Button you see that the there is not options for the Domain
