Symptoms

On an E-Business Suite (EBS) instance that is using Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit 


When attempting to run the Workflow Background Engine (FNDWFBG), the following error occurs:

Exception [type: SIGSEGV, Address not mapped to object] [ADDR:0xFFFFFFFFDFFFD30] [PC:0x104FCB634, kdifind()+84] [flags: 0x0, count: 1]
DDE: Problem Key 'ORA 7445 [kdifind()+84]' was flood controlled (0x4) (incident: 148832)
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [kdifind()+84] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0xFFFFFFFFDFFFD30] [PC:0x104FCB634] [Address not mapped to object] []
ssexhd: crashing the process...
Shadow_Core_Dump = PARTIAL


Business Impact:
Due to this issue, Workflow Background Engine is not able to process any deferred business events causing workflow driven business transactions to stall.
